KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
UNES is charged with the responsibility of promoting and coordinating income-generating activities of the University of Nairobi. Some of the activities it undertakes are Financial management, Consultancy, University of Nairobi income generating units, Bookstores, Restaurants, and a conference center.

We present this Service Charter to show and outline our commitment to you, our customer, as a reflection of our dedication to excellence in service delivery.  The charter delineates customer expectations when dealing with any of the UNES units, and describes communication avenues through which you can contact us to comment on our performance and offer suggestions for improvement.

UNES Headquarters:  Monday to Friday:  8AM – 5 PM
UNES Student Office (G3): Monday to Friday: 9AM – 6 PM, Saturday:   9AM – 12 NOON
UNES Bookstores:    Monday to Friday: 8AM – 6 PM, Saturday:  9AM – 4 PM, Sunday:         11AM – 4 PM
Arziki Restaurants:     Monday to Friday: 7AM – 6 PM, Saturday: 7AM – 4 PM

UNES reviews the quality management system and service charter

Members of UNES Management team last month held a three-day workshop to review the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and the Service Charter. The workshop, held in Machakos between 17th and 18th February 2012, was graced by the Prof. Peter FM Mbithi, the DVC (Admin & Finance) at the University of Nairobi.

 The objective of the workshop was critically interrogate and review the QMS and the Service Charter and a bid to ensure that they remain relevant and alive to their objective of guiding the company towards greater heights of efficiency and effective service delivery to customers.

During the retreat, the key-note speaker, Prof. Mbithi reminded the UNES management of the importance of pursuing the UNES vision of being a premier knowledge based business enterprise and a center of excellence within the University Community from which other units can draw inspiration to better their performance.
