UNES Management Team held the Annual at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort. The aim of the retreat was to review UNES position from a number of angles and chart the way forward while maintaining team cohesion. The Managing Director Prof. Julius Ogeng'o attended.

The third session of the 5-day series of Grant Proposal Writing Training Workshop took place between 14-18 May, 2013 at CCU in University of Nairobi. The session was opened by Prof. J. A. Ogeng’o, the Managing Director UNES.The training was facilitated by Prof.James Machoki, Prof. Mauri Yambo, Dr. Gideon Marete and Mr. Levi Matseshe.

BAS is a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) that coordinates development, operating units and sustaining competitive advantage for the company’s products and services. This involves crafting competitive moves and market approaches that lead to competitive advantage and forming responses to changes in the business environment. Other functions include coordination of the UNES QMS and Performance Contracting Activities, undertaking Marketing Activities and enforcing Fees Compliance for the self-sponsored student programmes of the University of Nairobi.

The University of Nairobi took part in the 15th International Education Fair 2013 at Sarit Centre from 2nd -5th of May 2013. The University scooped top honors in the local public university category. The expo was officially closed by Mr. Charles Nyachae, Chairman of the Constitution Implementation Commission on 5th May, 2013.

UNES organised Advanced First Aid Training for KWS staff from different stations at their training institute in Naivasha. The training took place in two sessions: 16th-18th & 19th- 21st April, 2013.The training was conducted by Dr. Joseph Mwaniki, Dr. Jemima Oduma and Prof. Laila Abubakar all of University of Nairobi.

The second session of the 5-day series of Grant Proposal Writing Training Workshop took place between 22-26 April, 2013 at CCU in University of Nairobi. The participants were faculty members from CHS, CHSS, CAE, CBPS, and CEES. The session was opened by Prof. J. A. Ogeng’o, the Managing Director UNES.The training was facilitated by Prof.James Machoki, Prof. Mauri Yambo, Dr. Gideon Marete and Mr. Levi Matseshe.

 The first session of the 2013 Grant Proposal Writing Training took place between 15th-19th April, 2013 at CCU. The training for faculty staff of the University of Nairobi was officially opened by the DVC (RPE) and the Managing Director, UNES. Participants from all the six colleges were successfully trained. The training was facilitated by Prof.James Machoki, Prof. Mauri Yambo, Dr. Gideon Marete and Mr. Levi Matseshe.
