Communication And Transformation Of The School And Family

COM 12 : COMMUNICATION AND TRANSFORMATION OF THE SCHOOL AND FAMILY
Duration: 4 DAYS
COST: Kshs. 24,000
Dates:

COURSE ABSTRACT:

Is the blame game at fever-pitch? In a sense - it is. Who is to blame for what has happened to schools, the children, the reading culture, performance, and the sound thinking patterns? What is needed is communication that facilitates a powerful transformation to realize higher vision, mission, and values for school and family. By looking at over ten types of culture at school and learning how to change them to the most desirable ones, children can be helped. Schools can become better. Families can become more nurturing and performance can improve.   Instead of blame dishing - hurled at church, school, and family - the whole world over, it is better to dialogue and to communicate. If blaming solved any problem, there would be no problems left to solve.   The course brings together the main stake-holders in education. If as it has been admitted that communication plays a central role in solving social problems in corporate contexts, it must be one of the main solutions in dealing with children at home and at school.
