UNES enhances its fight against corruption
Members of UNES Corruption Prevention Committee (CPC) last month underwent an intensive two-day capacity building workshop on implementation of corruption eradication measures. The workshop, held in Naivasha on 13th and 14th January, 2012, was facilitated by Nicholas Mwenda and Sophia Muturi from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC).
The objective of the workshop was to equip UNES-CPC members with knowledge and skills for them to effectively execute their role of coordinating anti corruption strategies at UNES including Integrity Testing Programme. This is in line with UNES’s policy of operating in a corruption free zone.
During the retreat, the EACC officers applauded UNES management for the effort so far in establishing the structural framework for institutionalizing corruption prevention and detection strategies in the organization. The outcome of the workshop was renewed commitment and vigor towards the never ending war against corruption and desire to promote integrity.
