COURSE ABSTRACT:
The safety and health of workers at their place of work is generally given a low priority across all economic sectors. Large and small enterprises tend to emphasis sustainability, human and material resources and productivity. The trend towards globalisation provides additional challenges to workers safety and health. According to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) convention and national safety and health laws and regulations, occupation safety and health should be prevented at the place of work. This course takes an interdisciplinary approach to addressing the hazards related at work.
