COURSE ABSTRACT:

This course is designed to expose participants to cutting-edge thinking and practice in the field of proposal writing. Participants will be engaged in an intensive discussion and critique of the nature of proposals and the process of writing them, based on guided readings. They will also be put through an equally intensive, hands-on exercise in proposal writing -- in a workshop environment. Attention will be paid to proposals for scientific research as well as proposals for funded development projects, as broadly understood. Opportunity for individual consultations will be provided.
